Q:What are the hours of operation for the Administrative Office?
A: The Administrative Office is open Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. We are closed weekends and most holidays.
Q: What day is trash picked up in Morningside?
A: Regular Household Trash will be collected on Tuesday & Friday of each week between 7am and 7pm.
Bulk Trash will be collected on Wednesday of each week between 7am and 7pm but only after residents have called the
trash company to make arrangements for pick up. Residents must call (301) 888-1900 no later than 2pm on the Tuesday prior to collection. Only 3 items are allowed for Bulk pick-up from each address per week.
Recyclables will be collected on Tuesday of each week between 7am and 7pm.
Yard Waste will be collected on Monday of each week between 7am and 7pm.
Q: What is the number for Bulk Trash pickup?
A: Residents must call (301) 883-1900 no later than 2pm on the Tuesday prior to collection. Give them your address and a list of items to be picked up. No more than 3 items per address will be picked up on Bulk pickup day.
Q: How do I get a new recycle bin?
A: Residents can call the Administrative Office (301-736-2300) M-F 8am-5pm. Give them your address and arrangements will be made to deliver a new bin to your home. You can also stop by the Administrative Office and pick one up during business hours. One bin per household.
Q: Do you rent out the large meeting room for private functions?
A: Yes. Call (301) 736-2300 M-F 8am-5pm to check availability and pricing.
Q: Can I speak to the Mayor or Council Members?
A: Yes, but please remember that the Mayor and Council Members are not normally in the office during regular business hours. We will be happy to take a message and have them contact you at their earliest convenience.
